IMPORTANT COMMUNICATION : PATINAGE QUÉBEC CANCELS ALL ITS PROVINCIAL ACTIVITIES UNTIL MARCH 30, 2020

Patinage Québec communication sent to its members on March 13

 

Montreal, Monday, March 16, 2020 – In order to ensure the health and safety, Patinage Québec announced to its members, last Friday, that the organization was cancelling all of its provincial activities, until March 30.

For the past few weeks, the organization has been closely monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus) in collaboration with Skate Canada.

The federation undertakes to respect the measures shared by the National Director of Public Health and to follow the directives of the provincial, regional and municipal authorities.

The federation recommends that its clubs and schools do the same.

Patinage Québec and its members agree on the following :

  • Organizations must cancel all indoor gatherings of more than 250 people and / or those not essential, for the next 30 days ;
  • The closure of educational institutions and childcare services until March 30.

The organization is monitoring the situation closely with regard to training scheduled for April and May. It also assesses the situation regarding the holding of the annual conference scheduled for the beginning of May in Laval.

The services of Patinage Québec are maintained, but the offices will be inaccessible for members and visitors. Employees telecommute and you can reach them at the usual contact information.
